We are Cindy & Lee; home bakers, cooks and ‘natural born feeders’, and in November 2019 we decided to jump in at the deep end and become ‘professional’ bakers & cooks when the wonderful opportunity to buy The Cornerhouse Bakery & Café came along.
Since we opened in January we have been working hard to learn about all things bread, cake, tea and coffee and serve a menu of homemade savoury and sweet treats. During the current Coronavirus crisis we are baking for deliveries and take away only at the moment. Where possible, we use only organic flours and use just flour, yeast, salt and water to make our breads (unless of course you want extra ingredients added, walnuts are very popular!).
We make everything on our menu here on site;
including our own butter, mackerel pate, potato salad, and coleslaw.
Our coffee is organic and fairtrade, and we stock a range of wonderful speciality teas and yummy warming hot chocolates.
